100 reasons to vote UKIP

We’re proud to provide you with 100 reasons to vote UKIP. Here are the Top Ten to whet your appetite:

1. Get Britain out of the European Union
2. Get control of immigration with an Australian-style, points-based immigration system
3. £3bn more, annually, into our NHS which desperately needs it
4. Scrap tuition fees for students studying Science, Tech, Engineering, Maths or Medical degrees
5. Pay greater attention to elderly care across the country
6. Cutting £9bn from our foreign aid budget
7. Give the people the ability to “recall” their MPs, without parliamentary or MP approval
8. Stopping our endless, foreign wars
9. Promoting a British identity, as opposed to failed multiculturalism
10. Allowing existing schools to become grammar schools

Now read all 100 reasons to vote UKIP.

The UK Independence Party is the UK’s fastest growing political party – and the only party offering a radical alternative to the out of touch, inept and often corrupt mainstream parties.

For years the UK has been politically dominated by the three main parties. The massive rise of UKIP signals a long over due sea change in British politics. Over the last years UKIP has seen massive growth and has shrugged off the misconception that it was simply a party of protest.

UKIP is winning support from across the political spectrum as more and more people realise that the old three party system has failed our country.

UKIP Thornbury and Yate Association continues to grow, new members are always welcome and can contribute to our campaign work if they wish to do so. Please visit out membership & events page for more details.

If you have any particular issues where you live or need help or advice, please do not hesitate to contact us for assistance. We are here to help and support everyone in our constituency.

Welcome to UKIP in Thornbury & Yate

A big thank you to all our members and supporters for their time and generosity and all those who voted for UKIP in the 2015 general and local elections. We have moved up the ladder to 3rd place with a 7% increase and our membership and support continues to grow from strength to strength.
We are about to embark on the long awaited referendum on membership of the EU, this will be the most important decision we make in our lifetime, and we will be working hard to promote the OUT campaign.

We would like to hear your concerns, so please contact us and if you would like to support us, please  Join us today.

About UKIP

Welcome to UKIP in Thornbury & Yate

The UK Independence Party is the UK’s fastest growing political party – and the only one now offering a radical alternative.

On 22 May 2014 UKIP came first in the European Parliament elections, winning 24 seats and the largest share of the popular vote. In South Gloucestershire UKIP topped the poll, beating the Conservatives by over 4,000 votes, with the Liberal Democrats coming in a very poor fourth.

On 9 October 2014 Douglas Carswell became UKIP’s first MP, following his overwhelming by-election victory in Clacton. He was soon joined in the House of Commons by UKIP’s second MP, Mark Reckless, following another historic by-election victory in Rochester and Strood on 20 November 2014.

Recent polls have shown increasingly high levels of support for UKIP nationwide, despite the constant lies and smears from the old elitist parties and their media allies. UKIP are poised to take seats from Conservatives, Labour and Liberal Democrats on 7 May and the message for voters is clear – vote UKIP, get UKIP!

The EU – A Symptom, Not The Cause

UKIP was founded in 1993 to campaign for the UK’s withdrawal from the EU. Not because we hate Europe, or foreigners, or anyone at all but because it is undemocratic, expensive, bossy – and we still haven’t been asked whether we want to be in it.

But the EU is only the biggest symptom of the real problem – the theft of our democracy by a powerful, remote political ‘elite’ which has forgotten that it’s here to serve the people.

What We Believe In

We believe in the right of the people of the UK to govern ourselves, rather than be governed by unelected bureaucrats in Brussels (and, increasingly, in London and even your local town hall).

We believe in the minimum necessary government which defends individual freedom, supports those in real need, takes as little of our money as possible and doesn’t interfere in our lives.

We believe in democracy devolved to the people, through national and local referendums on key issues, so that laws are made by the people’s will, not the fads of the political class.

We believe that the government of Britain should be for the people, by the people – all the people of Britain, regardless of their creed or colour.

UKIP says … Listen to the people. What do you say?
